Hey, if anybody wants to work in Alaska and can spend May to September up here let me know asap. I have had several people here in Skagway ask me if I know anybody that wants to come up here and work! Let me know...

Josh,

If i didn't already have a sweet gig (free trip to nepal!!!!!) I would totally take you up on that offer. You think it will still be open for summer of '09?

Not that I can get away, but what kind of work?

I have often thought this would be a great site to advertise outdoor jobs. Just last month I saw an archaeology job in Bryce Canyon. Being in the environmental industry, I have seen a couple of really tempting contracts over the years.

hey guys the work includes several things: we still need guides where I'm working, you'd have to already have wafa or wfr and if you've guided before you're in. Otherwise, there's several places hiring cooks, dishwashers, servers and other places that would be generally inside service industry type jobs. Let me know if anybody wants to know more...ohh, and yeah, there'll definitely be work next summer as well.

Wait, free trip to Nepal? Where do I sign up for that?

And you can post Jobs on the Classifieds section of Outdoorzy.... alas there is only one listed there now.

www.outdoorzy.com/classifieds/jobs/

We obviously need to make it more visible. Maybe a link on the home page. Listing a job is free. Only requirement... must have an outdoorzy aspect.

Sorry Wade, the grant is only for students who attend my college, but you can expect a killer trip report when I get back.

sorry Wade, it was just that i didn't pay attention to details. Shall i put some info over in the classified section? or maybe i'll just give the companies a sticker and tell them to set up accounts and they can do it...

Skagway is one of my ports for the honeymoon cruise. Maybe we can meet up. It would be great to meet another Outdoorzy.

Buster, that'd be awesome, let me know what ship and day you'll be in town and we'll meet up for sure. I'll probably be out guiding a trip but we could certainly chill at the brew company or somewhere in town.
