Each month we will be choosing a winning Trip Report that was written within the last 30 days by one of our members. The winner will receive a cool outdoor gear item and will be announced in our Newsletter and on the forum.

Good luck, and keep up the great work with your Trip Reports. We love to read them!

PS - our next newsletter will be coming out in the next week or so, keep an eye out for it.

Thanks - The Team

We need some new Buster reports! Judging from the ones you've posted in the past, you'll definitely be a contender.

How is this; I went to Waverly yesterday, rode about 6.5 miles, ran about 2.5, got chased by angry rotweiler, screamed profanity, kept moving. I will accept my free gear now.

Wow, that's pretty intense. Is the "rot" part of your training? I hear they make you run faster...

I was actually riding when I started to hear this noise from behind me. I thought I startled a deer at first because it sounded big. I ignored it for a couple of seconds, then I looked back. I immediately dismounted and put the bike between myself and dog and started yelling at it because it was gaining on me. It stopped and turned around, then headed the other way. By then I saw someones shirt off in the distance. That is when I yelled something about the leash law. And yes, due to the scare and my boiling blood pressure I rode and ran much faster.

Melolympia and I ran upon some dogs at Waverly a month or so ago. They stood there and barked, but they didn't move. We finally went around them, and I had a big stick in my hand just in case. I heard those dogs were bothering people for a few weeks and the cops eventually shot one of the dogs. They didn't have any collars.
